Is this business listing call a scam?

I have received numerous calls, at my office, about "authorizing" the sending of an invoice or closure of service letter. After saying we are not interested, please call corporate, etc, I then ask for a number to return the call to the organization from our authorized personnel. They are not able to give me a number. Wouldn't a legit business be able to take incoming calls, especially if it could mean money in their pocket?

1. Yes, this would be a scam. You are correct, any legit business would be happy to give you a number so that they could get your business/money. Next time they call ask to be taken off their call list.
