Where can I find a website to list all traditions of a traditional american wedding?

I am not very familiar with EXACTLY what goes on in a wedding and I am getting closer to planning my own. I would like a site to tell me all of the different traditions of a traditional american wedding. Also if one has a planning guide or idea's etc... Would be much appreciated! Thank you... - Jamie No preferred religion really, more christian than anything...not catholic or jewish....

  2. There are a lot of great sites out there...check out www.theweddingchannel.com and they have tools there for planning too. I know my wife used that a bunch when we were planning our wedding. I'm not sure if you said "american" just to filter out some weird ritualistic events that might happen at the far reaches of the earth or because you are coming from another country to America and want to learn those traditions. If you are from another country, then just keep in mind that traditions vary regionally and by religion just as much as they do for being American. For example, Catholic weddings are WAY different than a Jewish or protestant wedding, but they each could be considered traditional within their own religion. So unfortunately, you will need to be more specific than "american" in your search.
  3. http://www.theknot.com Trust me I've used/seen other sites and they don't have anything like theknot! Don't buy expensive wedding books either you can do everything online with the knot!
  4. brides.com or the knot.com good luck honey and congrats!!!!
