What is a good summer reading list?

I'm not really into romance novels, but I do enjoy mystery-ish books. They could range from teen series to classic literature. I just don't know what to read! Thanks!

  3. Mysteries are AWESOME!!!! Here is what I would suggest... (Alex Cross Series) --James Patterson...First book is Along Came a Spider Sleepy Head---Mark Billingham ...It's a series too just forgot the name of the series... Sanctuary---Nora Roberts...It's awesome.. (Women's Murder Club)---James Patterson....Not as good as Alex Cross, but you would like them. They are kind of more for girls I guess. Angel's Fall--Nora Roberts.... Where Are You Know?---Mary Higgins Clark Judge & Jury---James Patterson Step On a Crack---James Patterson Hope that will get you started...lol...These books are some of my favorites...
  4. try some charles dickens shakspeare's comedies are great Jane Austen has some good ones Jane Eyre (not sure about the spelling) To kill a mockingbird catcher in the rye 1984 My sister loves James Patterson books
  5. i'm attempting to read The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (1000+ pages) this summer, should keep u occupied for a while.
  6. Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood is a compelling read. Although it doesn't really fall into the Mystery genre, it will keep you guessing about the main character's identity until the end of the novel.
  7. Agatha Christie is good for mysteries. Can't think of any titles off hand. One author I would highly recommend for summer reading is Paulo Coelho. I've read Eleven Minutes and The Alchemist, both were great novels. Reading the Devil & Miss Prym this summer. Also, Patricia Cornwell is kind of mystery-ish. I've enjoyed several of her books.
