I need a new reading list for summer!!!?

Okay, I need to get a bunch of books, cause i love reading, but I need books that have to do with romance, not like old romance, but teenage romance, and some books about vampire romance, or stuff like that. It's for a summer list I need to turn in at the end of summer, and I really have this craving for romance novels. I read a 595 page book in 2 days or less, so I really need alot of those types of books.^ ^

  1. A really good set of books is by LJ Smith, called The Secret Circle. It was written in the early 90's so you'll have to bare with that. There's three of them: The Initiation, The Captive, The Power. Also, anything by Celia Rees is good. She's got a couple; I really recommend Pirates! It's a good read about how a girl becomes a pirate because of her circumstances. There's even two romances in this one. Hope this helps.
  2. Heard of the Point Romance series? They ain't bad.
  3. From what you were saying it sounds like you must have already read Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer? (Your description sounds just like them... : ) ) If not then you MUST read them. They are awesome books - romance, vampires, need I say more? I can't wait until Eclipse comes out... August 7th! Hmm... Other romance books... I loved the sisterhood of the travelling pants books. Most of the books by Tamora Pierce have romance in them too (I especially liked the Trickster's Choice, Song of the Lioness and Immortals series by her - but being fantasy books they are sort of medieval - i.e. knights and stuff...) I can't really think of any others right now... I like romance novels too but most of mine are not really modern romances - they are set in different eras. Some of my favourites of these are: "The Secret History of the Pink Carnation", "The Gene of Isis" and "The Magician's Guild". I hope that has helped a little. Some other books I like are "My Sister's Keeper" and "The Pact" both by Jodi Picoult. Neither are romance really (though the pact is centred around a suicide pact between a teenage couple...) but they are great books nevertheless and you should read them : ). EDIT: I just rememered - if you like Manga "A Thousand Years of Snow" perfect. Romance and vampires - it is simply adorable! I downloaded it off the internet. If you would like a link just email me but if you google it then you should be able to find and download it.
  4. Try 'The people of paper' by Salvador Plasencia It's not all that teenage romance, but i think you'd like it It's really interesting how the book is published with holes cut out, fading characters, some paragraphs covered with black box..etc and they are all the authors intention! i would actually like to recommend to everyone really. it's a really interesting book to read :-)
  5. I would absolutely recommend L.J Smith's brilliant trilogy, The Forbidden Game. The first is The Forbidden Game 1: The Hunter, the second is 2: The Chase and the third is 3: The Kill. The three books have absolutely everything a teen wants: romance, adventure, mystery and lots more! You will fall in love with the Prince of Darkness - guaranteed! I won't say anything more :p Anyway, they may be hard to find as they were published over 10 years ago (arround 1994/5) but you still may be able to find them at a library or bookstore. Highyl recommended reading - I cannot emphasise how much I absolutely loved the books! :D Good luck, I hope you follow my advice, even if you don't think the books sound like they're worth reading - because you'll shut yourself away in your room and read them non-stop, like I did! :D :p
  6. If you're looking for vampire romance, the Sookie Waterhouse series by Charlaine Harris is a good bet. Normal girl, vampire boyfriend, nice little series. I think they are around 300 pages each. Here's a link to the first one... http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Until-Southern-Vampire-Mysteries/dp/0441008534/ref=sr_1_4/105-8072869-1366038?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1180783936&sr=1-4 Hope this helps a little! =]
  7. I love reading science-fiction/fantasy/romance books. Here is a list of awesome authors: Sherrilyn Kenyon-------(anything by her is a good read) Kresley Cole------------(Immortal After Dark series) J.R. Ward----------------(Black Dagger Brotherhood series) Marjorie M. Liu---------(Dirk & Steele series) Angela Knight----------(Mageverse series) Jacquelyn Frank-------(Nightwalkers series) Lynn Viehl---------------(Darkyn series) Nora Roberts----------(Circle Trilogy, Three Sisters Island Trilogy, Irish Jewels Trilogy, Donovan Legacy books, and Key Trilogy) Lucy Monroe-----------(Moon Awakening) Karen Marie Moning---(anything by this author) Gena Showalter-------(just about anything she writes)
  8. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  9. Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony has some...unusual romance. But that's stuck way into the back of the plot.
  10. Real Vampires Have Curves, Isn't It Romantic?: An Entertainment (I read this in about eight hours), The Perfect Royal Mistress...all of these are romance novels in some sense or another, and they're all very good.
