Where can I find an online list of notable historical figures?
I am doing research for an AP World History project in which I have to compose the ideal US cabinet, using any figure from history. There are no restrictions on the time frame or part of the world each person can be from, which makes it very extensive--and difficult. I have to fill certain positions and provide career backgrounds/reasons for each person I have chosen. I already have a few people, but I'm not sure about some. For example, who could I use for the Department of Homeland Security? Justice? Labor? Agriculture? Commerce? Any ideas? I also wanted to know where I could find a list of notable historical people online. I figured there must be some that have been published (especially around the millenium). If you have any ideas, or know sites I can visit, please let me know! Thanks so much! :)
