Does anyone have a list of online communities such as MySpace and Friendster?

I am trying to write a paper regarding the popularity of online communities, does anyone know of a source or have a list of online communities? Obviously I know the major communities (myspace, friendster, etc) but Im trying to put together a more comprehensive list. These could also include blogging sites, and perhaps even communities such as flickr.
