Baby shower list vs a registry?

I am hosting my sisters baby shower. This is her third and 5 years after her last and a boy vs. her 2 girls so she needs almost everything. She doesn't want to do a registry at a store because they never get looked at. Instead she has put together a list of stuff she wants or needs. Is it appropriate to put the list in with the invites? If not what are some suggestions that are realistic and would have people look at it? The baby shower is still a month away so I have the time to do something else than a list with the invites.

1. I don't see a problem with putting the list with the invites. If I was guest, I would be glad to have a list because I would know I was buying something she really wants/needs.
