Where is a nice restaurant in the sf bay area to throw a baby shower?

I have a guest list of about 25 adults. My budget is around $500. And the baby shower is going to be in May.

  1. Well if you are all ladies, i would suggest maybe going out for tea. Not sure if you're catering to a family type of party with men and children. There's a tea house called Lovejoy's Tea Room, its on Church St. Its a real cute place where they have real tea sets, the place is very vintage and has an antique feel. If you do choose to go here, i would suggest perhaps carpooling since parking spaces are tight around the area. I hope that i had helped a little. If you need more information about the place i included the website, so you can visualize.
  2. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... but unfortunately, $20 per person is too low to get you into nicer places in San Francisco for lunch, or even high tea. Average is more like $35-$40 per person, going up to $50-$60 in the better places, especially if you want to serve alcohol. And you will find that most decent restaurants in the city have a $1,000 - $2,000 minimum for private rooms. How about finding a co-host and doubling your budget? That would open up all kinds of fun places for you. For example, for a couples shower you could get a private room at Thirsty Bear, for a ladies shower you could do high tea at the Palace, or for any kind of shower you might be able to get into Citizen Cake or Perbacco or Greens, with its spectacular views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. 3. the waterfront over in rodeo would be great right on the water
  4. Try the Presidio Golf Club just near the Arguello Blvd entrance to the Presidio. The parking is free although the food price may exceed your limit. It is open to the public and food is fine but it is the ambience that would be perfect. The weather should be nice then to look out at the greens. go to www.presidio.gov then to restaurants then to presidio cafe.
  5. Scott's can handle large parties. S.F or Walnut Creek
