- Diapers & more diapers - they go so quick!!! And wipes too.
- wal-mart (or similar store) gift cards! Trust me! the mom can use them for diapers, baby clothes, etc, and it will help out if/when money is tight while on maternity leave.
- lullaby CD snugli
- Car seat, anything that she can't afford
- Im a soon to be new dad and we had our shower on the 8th, get them a gift card from the store they regitered at.
- DIAPERS....just make sure you buy like size 3. So they have time to grow in them. Also wipes. Cute little toys. like rattles and stuff. Things to entertain them in the car...one of those thigns for the carts....that has toys on the and they sit in so they don't touch the cart....basic need stuff is the best.....
- I got a basket of children's books, it was pretty and usefull. I recommend a lot of different reading levels for the future.
- Actually the best gift is a practical one. Cute sleepers and things are ok but they don't get much use as babies grow fast. I would suggest diapers, wipes, giftcards for grocery stores (to buy formula, etc). It doens't sound very fancy but believe me those things came in most handy for me.
- Diapers socks gift card so they can pick something out.
- Clothing that is not for a newborn. Babies grow very fast and will outgrow all the cute newborn sized clothing soon.
- Gift cards to a store like Target or WalMart or diapers in larger sizes (NOT newborn).
- diapers, wipes, blankets, formula, shampoo, lotions, socks
- my welcoming party for my son is in august and i would love to get alot of name brand, like phat farm, sean john, g-unit, polo, tommy, etc. outfits. or cute worded baby things, like my dad's the best or tax deduction.
- CASH! New parents are usually overwhelmed with bills... Give what you can and they will be soooooo thankful!
- Whatever you do, resist the urge to buy things that you think are "cute"! Daipers, wipes, burp cloths, onesies, and recieving blankets are all things that a new mom can never have enough of.
- when i had my baby shower, the best gifts i received that i got the most use out of were blankets, washclothes, onzies, and bibs. most things like diapers, wipes, bottles, etc the parents like to decide on that type of stuff on their own. but honestly the blankets, onzies, and bibs were used by me the most. you can never have enough onzies and blankets, trust me.
- Okay, I have been 10 baby showers or more. Every time I have given the most useful gift and mommies that were having their second baby or third, whatever loved these gifts: diapers, diapers, diapers wipes lotions, baby wash, baby powder Winners every time, I buy lots and lots. The dads LOVED these gifts, also.
- I usually bring a manual baby food grinder. I used one with all of my kids. They're really nice for making homemade baby food which is healthier and a lot less expensive. I've also given cloth diapers. Cloth diapers are good to use as burp rags or diapers when you don't have the store bought. Other than that, maybe some yarn, needles and a baby afghan instuction book. I crocheted each of my children their own blanket. It's very relaxing.
- of u can afford it a necklace/ bracelet witht he baby's name......or one of those books with the questions about how the baby grew up.....or money
- The best gift I got were the nightgowns (unisex) that have elastic at the bottom to help keep them from riding up. They are wonderful for middle of the night diaper changes. Just pull up the nighgown and make the change.
- I have the prefect thing. I started making up a bag of medicines of all kinds ( infants of course) this is something that they really need ,but don't think about it before the baby comes. Godd luck.
- Gift cards or diapers and wipes more diapers and more wipes. Oh yeah don't forget Milicon (gas drops) for the baby. You could buy something for the mother cause its seems she is always left out.
- My friend gave me a plastic hamper filled with baby shampoo, oils, lotions, wash, baby nail clippers, comb, teething gel, tylenol, mylecon drops etc. No matter what you use that stuff over and over, so you can never get enough. Another idea is to include diapers...any size, trust me! Some wipes to go along would be great. Finally, you could always get mom to be something, like a gift card to a great bakery in your area, movie theater or a dinner out for after the baby comes.
- Anything they don't have ,if two or more can go in for pricier items it helps. Or getting gift cards to the same store.
- The best thing i got for my baby shower was a spa git for myself for after i had the baby. Everything is always all about the baby and it was nice that someone though of me for a Min. when all i could think about was my baby.
- Many today create a baby registry and in a way it's good only if friends and relatives decide who will get and what. Otherwise, a mom to be will end up with everything double and a trip to the store in present condition is not the most fun thing to do. So, you may opt for a gift card which is in my opinion is the best thing you could get - she can get anything she needs for the baby when she's ready. Or, your other choice is to talk to others who'll attend the shower and see who's getting what so this way if you want to get a car seat - you'll be the only one to do so.
- I am a mom of two boys I got tons and tons of diapers and wipes...if you want to do more a gift card would do too!!!!
- My sister got me a huge bottle of Dreft baby laundry detergent and a case of Pampers. They were my favorite gifts because of everything I got, I used those every day. I got so many onesies and thirts, I didn't know what to do with them. Plus, most of them didn't fit anyway...my son was a big baby.
- Diapers in different stages and practical things like: onesies, sleepers, bottles, cups, etc.
- A nice big pack of diapers and money!!
- I would figure out an amount that you would consider spending one her and give a gift card. If you want, its also cute to buy a few little less expensive things to add in a little basket or gift bag with the gift card. Like for my best friend, I gave a $50.00 gift card (any amount is appreciated even $20.00)with a small stuffed animal and a few wash rags and tied with a bow. Gift cards are helpful because they don't have to go through the hassle of exchanging double gifts or something they can't use. Diapers are helpful but there are so many and you can never tell if the baby will have a reaction or not! Hope this helps!
- I think that you should get a gift card and give it to her and let her buy something that she really needs or would like to have.
- A gift certificate to baby's r us. You don't know what you need until after you've got the kid and realize what you are missing. The gift certificates were the best thing we got as presents. Also, www.clevercuties.com has really cute baby t-shirts and onesies for baby geeks.
