- i eat anything and everything...i guess i'm really not much help sorry
- anything i want and crave and its alot. enjoy your pregnancy every women wants differant things. loose the weight later.
- well i have gestational diabetes so i am on a very healthy diet. i can have 30 carb grams for breakfast which would be 2 carb choices...piece of toast and fruit, 1/2cup of milk w/fruit or granola bar. then i have a snack 2 hrs later, 15 carb grams usually a piece of fruit or granola bar, yogart...etc. for lunch i get 60 carb grams which is 4 carb choices...a sandwhich w/meat and maybe cheese, or tomato (which is a fruit). and maybe a salad, or soup. 2 hrs later i get a snack, again 15 carbs grams, same choices as above. dinner i get 60 carb grams 4 choices. i might have grilled chicken, w/rice and steamed veggies w/very small amount of a butter spray. a salad w/crutons and a light dressing... 2hrs later i get a snack, again 15 grams. maybe some dry cereal or light pudding or sugar free jello. i do not drink sodas! too much sugar. i cannot have potatoes *in any form* too many carbs, and pasta is loaded w/carbs too so i can't have that either it all sends my blood sugar through the roof! a diabetic diet is actually a very smart, healthy diet and you eat all day! when i first started it w/my last pregnancy i lost about 12 lbs. (which my doc says is normal, and perfectly okay since i was eating better, the weight i lost was better for the pregnancy and my baby was very healthy). also make sure you get at least 3-4 servings of milk or other dairy, like yogart or cottage cheese. not a HUGE serving..but a moderate one. such as a snack size. oh yeah..what foods have carbs. fruit peas pasta potatoes beans bread cereal (hot and cold) pastries peanut butter etc. you can have most of these as long as you follow serving sizes. over eating is not good for pregnancy. as for excercise...i usually go to the park w/my kids 3 times a week and walk the park for an hour. or i go to the mall and window shop for a couple of hours. it's not as stressful on your body, but good excercise, which is good for circulation and fexability.
- What about taking iron &calcium tablets
- I go to the gym 5 days a week, i do water aerobics and spin class, and i lift weights. i have been sick so i haven't been eating anything but cereal, and ice pops. if you have never exercised before you want to stick with walking! don't try to start new things while pregnant.
- sudden wieght gain, or too much wieght gain too soon, can mean gestational diebetes. does your doc know how much you've gained? and does he/she seemed concerned? I would ask your doc on this one. until then, you may want to go for walks everyday. that's really the best exersize during pregnancy. like good walks too, 30 minutes werth. other than that, really you should watch your carb intake. if it's something you really don't know how to follow, maybe your doc can referre you to see a dietition to help control that. good luck to you. this is the best advice I can give. I would really advise you to talk to doc though, cause ges. dieb. is serious and your doc should know what's going on so they can take the best actions to help you.
