Where on my NY state tax form do I list "cancelled debt income" (1099-C)?

I've been going through the short AND long form, over and over, looking for somewhere to list the amounts from a 1099-c and can't find it - anyone know where to look? I'm doing this the old fashioned way - ink and paper, so I need to know what form and what line to put it on...

1. Did you file 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ for your federal return? It makes a difference. The chart in the NYstate instructions tells you which line of your federal form to take the numbers for each line of the state form. http://www.tax.state.ny.us/pdf/2007/inc/it150_201i_2007.pdf see page 17
