how to block user not on my list form sending me offline messages?

i have clicked on Ignore anyone who is not on my messenger list, but i still have offline messages from people i don't know and they are not on my messenger list

1. Make sure you have clicked apply and then ok after checking that. You can also put specific ids in the ignore list too. It's possible you are getting spam and should manually scan with all your malware programs.
