Does anybody know how to set up my new computer (VISTA) so that my files ALL come up in LIST form?

I got this new computer at work, and when i open a file it's all big icons, i change it to list view but as soon as i exit out and go back in it reverts back to the ICONS. AAAAAAARGH

  1. probably have to change it under the propery settings..
  2. Make sure you apply after you make the changes and then instead of putting your computer on stand by or restarting it shut it down and go back to it...
  3. Sorry for your pain and suffering with Microsoft's latest flop. Not, sure, but I think the folder view settings are now in the control panel. Using XP right now, no Vista machines here.
  4. In the folder, on the top left click the drop down menu, Organize In that menu pick Folder and Search Options Next pick the view tab :) In there you can set it to remember the view you put it on.
  5. I just got a new computer too...it has vista, check your settings panel and screen view, it should give you options just like on the old crap...chillthefuckout would you?
  6. Vista sucks to try and get use to!
