How can I make files in Windows XP always viewed as a list instead of thumbnails?

I know how you go to View -> List to put it in list but I want it to be in list form when I open the folders. It always starts off in thumbnails.

EZ as pie. Go into explorer and click on VIEW and chose "List" Then click on Tools/Folder Options. Click on the VIEW tab and chose to apply to all folders. From then on all folders will be displayed in the list format. Good luck.
