Besides wolfsbane, is there a way for a werewolf to keep their human mind or at least soften the effects?
Of course, Alphas (Voluntary) are aware and can turn at will. For betas (Cursed), is wolfsbane the only "safe-wolf" method? Again, this is for mythological information. If you know the information and can list a source (Internet, Book, Movie), please state it as a source.

- wow its like ur talkin in a different language .. lol
- have you ever seen that movie "wolf" with Jack Nicholson? there was this amulet he was given that helped him fight off the "change" also on "American werewolf in Paris" they were trying to make some kind of medicine to stop the change as well. those are the only movies I've seen that tried to stop the change. hope that helped a little bit! Happy Halloween!
- Wolfsbane (if taken every 4 hours) prevents the transformation for Beta werewolves.
- You may have your sources tainted slightly. I heard somewhere there's a website offering $1000,000 for proof of a P-shift. (Guess what, offer is still standing.)
- eh, make up your own fictional cheat. The original werewolf stories never had a way around the turning into a beast bit, turning into a beast was an inherent part of the myth. It gave depth to the story. You just want somebody that can change shapes. So pick an author to rip off or just invent your own silly method. Why is it all the modern spins on the classic monsters just eliminate any drawbacks the original teller came with? It just ends up turning them all into generic superheroes with no real problems. Vampires never kill anyone, are never damned to hell , and can run around in the daylight. Frankenstein isn't hideous. The wolfman isn't cursed and doesn't turn into a beast. Dealing with devils or witchcraft is something you do as a sideline to a real estate business. All might be amusing once for flipping the standard on its head, but are now just trite mush, suitable for a Disney movie.
- Monkshood is supposed to work, too. (Ginger Snaps, movie)
- I would try making my own spells or find a book on amulets, you can create your own tailor made spell to help with your process of becoming a wolf.i don't reccomend taking too many herbs because some are highly poisonous and can cause death.
