Latest Lists

Is there a list of baby foods anywhere on the internet? A check list?

I was just wondering if anyone has been able to find a baby food check list of each food and what order a baby should try it in? My daughter is almost 5 months old (will be on the 25th) and she is already eating rice and oatmeal and will be starting other foods in a month. I have been looking for the list, I am wanting to do the baby food by the book this time since I will have more control and since her stomach seems to be more sensative then my first daughters. With my first daughter (Ally) she was started on oatmeal at 2 weeks (per her dad) and was eating it on a spoon at two or three months (per my mom) and I tried to do the rest of the baby food by the book (introducing them one at a time) and I found out that my mom was also buying baby food and feeding it to her behind my back (my sister watched her for me while I was at work). But when it came time for Gabby to start taking cereal in a bottle at 2 weeks her stomach didn't like it and neither did she. Same thing at two and three months! But at about 4 and a half months she was watching her daddy eat and was making mouth movements as he chewed, after a few minutes she would open her mouth and make a noise and go back to pretend chewing. After a few noises and yells, I made her a little oatmeal mixed with breastmilk and she took to it like a pro! Doctor was also happy with me starting her on it! So since I have a little more control over what she eats (my mom doesn't watch the kids anymore) I want to do things by the book especially since her stomach seems to sensative to cereal the first few times we tried. For the next month she only gets rice, oatmeal, and breatmilk and then she can start foods. I know it is suppose to be veggies, fruits, and then meats. I was just wondering if there was a check list out there that I can use just check off as we try things out! :-) THanks!!!!!!

  2. Agree, www.wholesomebabyfood.com is the best site I've found out there for feeding baby solids. Has details on what foods are best by age range. Also great, simple recipes should you decide to make some at home. Cheers
