Where can I find a list of the largest and best marketing and/or advertising firms in New York City?

I am currently looking for an entry-level job and am having a tough time finding them. I'm looking for Madison Avenue-type firms with lots of clients. Using the phone book (yellowpages.com) is difficult because there are thousands of tiny firms that aren't hiring or going anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate the help.

2. If you go to the library, ask to see the Advertising Red Books. That is one of the best places to start.
