I was emailed this list from a pretty respectable source. Jewish Girl: I know, me too. I don't know WHAT the problem is... Apparently this happened this week sometime. Kjelstad: Thanks for the link--I didn't know about that. By the way...if anyone wants to know what the world would be like with our books banned, please read Farenheit 451, Ray Bradbury. I'm surprised THAT book didn't make the list...

  11. I recall being forced to read half of these books as a child. What is with the state of the world these days?? Lord of the Flies should still be read by every child in this country. Im willing to bet the Bible was placed at the top of the Must read lists, right?
  12. What the hell?!! Why don't they ban reality TV, or those idiotic NBC shows...
  13. WTF!? That's just insane. I have to admit I agree with them on some of those, though. Goosebumps is godawful, for one. Captain Underpants as well. Apart from those it sounds more like a "must read" list.
  14. Wow. "How to Eat Fried Worms" ?!? This list is ridiculous. DOWN with censorship!! is right.
  15. I'm a Christian, I've read some of these books, and censorship is wrong!!!

  17. I have read about 75% of the books on that list and when I went to a Catholic Grade school!! People who want to ban books are Nazis
  18. thank you ana! i love how the list continually grows. . . more books to add to the reading list. and they are censored for the looniest reasons. knowledge and avenues to critical thought are 'dangerous' roads indeed. . . and greatly feared by those who censor.
