If you had to make a list of the top 100 classic reads of all times what would you include and why?

I want to compile a list of must read books, or find one that includes things that people really would read.

Banks' novels Historical Drama: "Alexander" Trilogy by Valerio Manfredi, "I, Claudius" by Robert Graves Children's: "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupere (check spelling!), "Alice In Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll Adventure: "Touching The Void" by Joe Simpson, "Seven Years In Tibet" by Heinrich Harrer Hope this helps a bit...I could list a hundred great books but I don't have that much time!
