if books on the "top challenged" list were really challenged on the basis of "sexual content" and "violence"..

...shouldn't we all submit challenges to have the christian bible removed? With the incest of Lot with his daughters, and samson killing 100 people with an @sses jawbone... The christian bible should be rightly challenged and removed from public libraries...correct? doesn't the fact that it doesn't make it anywhere near the top 10, yet a book about homosexual penguins is #1, prove that this is a religious issue http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080506/ap_en_ot/challenged_books ineedhelp: yes, you need help, the first question was about the fascination of the homosexuality of penguins, this question is about having the bible banned for the "listed" reasons for banning...try to keep up....

2. I saw that. And The Golden Compass because it says "Christianity is a mistake." And people want it removed from libraries? Talk about insecurity in your faith...
3. You might have a point, except that we all know no one actually reads the Bible. Except John 3:16.
4. it also says to stone homosexuals in leviticus 20 verse 13 - inciting violence in our society
5. I agree...but have there ever been children that have read it (the OT, at least)? (curious, not meant to be snide)
