Banned books?
0.) Do you even know what the Banned Book List is? 1.) Are any of your favorite books on the Banned Book List? 2.) Do you agree/disagree on the List? Why? 3.) Why do you think people complain about Books and have them placed on the list? I'm just curious. I read banned books. Hurray for meaningful literature!

- bridge to terabithia was banned
- lol i love challenged books. there are actually lots of classic books that are on the list of banned books in differrent parts of the world. some of my favorites are The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton, Gone With The Wind, and 1984. Google ALA list of banned books and something useful might come up. :)
- During school, there was this poster in my English teacher's classroom, and it had a whole list of "Banned Books". I thought it was just a cheesy way to get the kids to read more, but it was an actual list of books that were banned from certain places. I only remember a few of them: The Harry Potter series, Of Mice and Men, The Notebook, and Monster. I love ALL these books, and it makes me sad to think of the kids who aren't allowed to enjoy these books. I think the only reason they're on that list, is because some parents read them and thought they were too "inappropriate" for their children. Ex: Harry Potter- witchcraft. These books SHOULD NOT be banned.
- I have a bracelet that says, "I read banned books" and it's got charms with the book covers of some major banned books on it. No books should be banned. Censorship deprives society.
- 0.) It's still in existence and changes every year as far as I know. 1.) Not really, though I've read several classic novels on the list. 2.) Disagree. Just like TV, movies or radio, no one is forcing anyone to read a certain book. If you don't like the ideas a certain book presents, fine. But don't try shoving your like or dislike down someone's throat. 3.) Different peoples, cultures, religions, upbringings among others. I always find it amusing some groups try so hard to ban a book and totally fail because everyone wants to read it to see what the big deal its.
