I deleted 2 contacts but they are still showing when they are online- what do i need to do to get rid of them?

I am using the chat facility on yahoo mail. I deleted 2 contacts, but whenever they are online, they pop up as "online" in my list - I don't want to see them, and I dont want them to see me - what am i doing wrong?

1. make a new account
2. Please delete from the yahoo address book and then delete contacts from the messenger list.They will be deleted.
3. Goto ur Yahoo-mail and then goto your contacts and delete them from there.Now i think tht the problem will be resolved.
