American Colleges and Universities?

I am interested in studying in America for a couple of years and I would be coming from the UK with only British qualifications. I want to study Fashion Management and/or Marketing, just something along the business side of Fashion that could lead me to being a buyer or merchandiser. I am unsure about which places will offer good courses, which are good unis and if there is a sort of website that contains lists of all the unis and colleges and the courses they offer, something like UCAS (the British version). If you know anything about studying fashion at college in America, I could really do with your help. Also, as I am an international student, would I have to take a lot of tests to make up for not having any American qualifications? I quite like the idea of studying in California or somewhere on the coast. I am 17 at the moment but when I leave my sixth form college, I will be 18, and will probably start the new academic year as 19 as my birthday is in September. Thanks for any help you can give me.
