My financial aid form tells me to list the other colleges I am applying to, WHY?

In my International Student Financial Aid Application form, it says to "List below the names of the colleges and universities to which you are applying". Should I really let the college know where else I am applying or should I leave it blank?

1. It's for your protection, just in case you don't go to your first choice, your financial aide will be able to be distributed to any of the colleges that you listed. otherwise, you have to re-apply for the financial aide.
2. Answer it. They won't deny you aid because you applied to another college, and they know you are applying to more than one. It's probably just to know what kind of universities you are applying to to get a feel for where their applicants want to go and such. It's not a big deal, and they will not appreciate answers just left blank.
