What Blog software is used by top blogs such as Inhabitat.com?

I really want to find cheap or free blogging software to add on to an already established website, it needs to be accessible by various people, and have comments and such. I see these kinds of blogs on sites such as inhabitat.com, and ecogeek.com but i haven't yet found what they actually use... if someone could help that would be awesome!

1. Inhabitat.com uses WordPress on their site. The theme is a custom theme that is private. If you really want the theme, you might be able to convince the author of the site to let you use it.
