If a book lists 2008 as it's copywrite date, do you use that year when you cite it in APA format?

My textbook is so new it lists 2008 as its copywrite date. Then it lists the year 2005. Which one do I use?

  1. The year of the edition you used. And it's copyright, not copywrite. It's a right, as in bill of rights. As in you have a right to an attorney.
