How do I clear drop down lists on search engines? The words I've already searched show up after I start typing?

When I go to certain sites and search things, the words I have already searched start to show up when I start to type, how do I erase these lists? Also how do I erase the urls on the drop down bar? I have IE7 and know how to clear history but that does not include urls and the search drop down bars.

1. Turn Auto-Complete off: Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > Auto Complete Settings
2. To clean up all the history, download ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com.
3. Use CC Cleaner free download.
4. the down arrow next to go click >clear history
5. Try deleting history in IE 7. Steps: Open IE 7. Click on Tools > Internet options Under general tab, under browsing history click on delete.
6. Go to Tools. Look for internet options. (should be the last thing) Click on it and under the general tab you will see browsing history. There you will see DELETE. Click on DELETE.
7. I think delete history will help to clear that.
