How do you display the buddy lists for the instant messengers on the T-Mobile G1?

I use Gtalk, AIM, Yahoo, and MSN Hotmail messengers. My Gtalk and MSN messengers display the buddy lists fine but the AIM and yahoo don't. There is a bar at the very top that says "buddy list" but I am not able to select it as an option. Is there something I can do to get them to display as the others?

1. You may wish to check out the link below for G1 users...moderator is excellent at answering questions like yours. I'm awaiting arrival of my G1! Someday?
