£50,000 in 60 days mailing list business!? has anyone heard of this - sounds like a scam but I don't know how
I've been sent a letter. It says if I sent £1 to the 5 people on the list and will receive 200 names and addresses. If I send the same letter replacing one of the 5 people with my own details to the 200 names and addresses, and those 200 send it to 200 and on and on, I should get about £50,000 based on a 7.5% response rate. What do you thing!? In theory it works - If I'm daft enough to send £1 to the people on the list, there will be some people out there who are daft enough to send me £1!! But.... What happens to my name once I put it in the system? Am I going to be inundated with random mail from random companies? has anyone heard of this? Thanks for your responses lol I would never have gone for it... seems to good to be true, but am always quite intrigued by them!

- Remember you NEVER get money for nothing DO NOT SEND MONEY!!!!!!!!!!
- It's a "chain letter" and illegal in the UK. The only people who make money are the first 10 to join up, all the rest lose out.
- This is known as 'Pyramid selling'. There have been many various sorts of these going around over the last couple of years. NONE of them ever work. So I would even bother risking it.
- variations of this have been going on for years both off line and on line..... don't bother....
- Then again, what have you lost - a fiver? Send a letter to me :)
- This is just another version of a chain letter and how many of those have we all binned.
- if you join this then your next job should be for the village idiot
