The Ring is such a horrifying movie but i don't see it on any top 10 scariest list of movies?

the japanese version is also scary but the remake is scarier.

1. i know, i thought it was way scarier than the exorsist, the ring still scares me, im 16 and scared of nothing =]
2. The Ring isn't scary. A girl comes out of the television and kills you? Pfft. Like that could happen. There's much more scarier movies.
3. I agree with you, its really scary, when the girl comes out the t.v .. so chilling. dont know why its not rated as such though, it beats me.

5. Sorry, I didn't think it was scary. Actually thought it was way overrated. 30 Days of Night was scarier.
6. Well, some people judge movies by how realistic a movie is - which, IMO, is really dumb. (If you want realism, don't watch fictional movies or read any fictional books.) The top 10 horror movies combine the elements of horror and reality. For instance, in Halloween, the viewer of this movie can actually see it happen to him/her. But at the same time, if it can happen in real life, it will not scare me. It's the supernatural that scares me. So, I agree with you. The Ring was scarier than some of the Top 10 horror movies, and it should be in the list.
7. yes i agree with you its the most movie that scared me after zombie movies specially when she start to come near the TV & i think its realy scary because the way they make her hair covering her face
8. Totally agree with you .... I still have nightmares about that little girl crawling out of the well. Can't understand why it's not cited on those lists.

10. I honestly dont know what scares people about this film... I watched it on my own in my house with all the lights switched off to try and make it work and it didnt... I think it depends on how scared you get, like the Exorcist didnt scare me but it made me think about it afterwards just like the Ring
11. Prrobly because most people didn't think it was scary, myself for example, but if you thought it was really really scary then I suggest that you watch the Japanese version called Ringo. It about 10 times scary and way more graphic.
