- great list Schindlers List The Green Mile Godfather Empire of the sun The Unforgiven Matrix 1 E.T. Jaws Silence of the lambs Die another day
- I think your list is very predictable and not uncommon. Yawn
- Sorry but some of mine are all girly movies and can ony think of 7 now The Notebook Sense & Sensibility Pride & Prejudice Dirty Dancing Pearl Harbour The Exorcism of Emily Rose Saw 1, 2 & 3
- I have only seen the Matrix Trilogy in your list. The first Matrix is the best one :) my top movies are: pirates of the Caribbean trilogy batman dark knight most comedy remakes of movies (scary movie, epic movie etc, etc.) there is more but I can't remember them right this second...
- (In no particular order, you can sort for yourselves) - Fight Club - Shawshank Redemption - Donnie Darko - Rainman - Jurassic Park - I am Legend (Crappy ending but hey, Will Smith played his role so well and injected so much emotion into it) - American History X - The Godfather - The Green Mile (Seen grown men reduced to tears from this movie) - Saving Private Ryan There really is so many more to be honest and I'm sure multiple posters after me will probably cover an even wider range of brilliant movies.
- Think you have some goodens in there but a few I can't agree with. Shawshank Redemption - It's a good film no doubt but it amazes me how this always manges to get right up there. Sixth Sense?! My favourite has always been Withnail & I. A few I also like - Natural Born Killers, Take the money and run, Iron curtain, Bird man of Alcatraz.
- Pretty good list. Are you thinking of the John Malkovich Elephant Man, or the older movie? Here's my list (It's pretty eclectic, just like me): 1) Until the End of the World 2) The Royal Tennenbaums 3) Crash 4) A Room With A View 5) Ken Burns' Lewis and Clark: Corps of Discovery 6) O Brother Where Art Thou 7) Gettysburg 8) A Streetcar Named Desire 9) The Godfather 10) The Sound of Music
- I think your list is a little "all over the place" and inconsistant. Some are great others not. I very much agree with 2001, Psycho and Shawshank though. MY LIST (no order): - There Will Be Blood - Magnolia - Requiem for a Dream - A Clockwork Orange - Apocalypse Now - American Beauty
- shawshank, 2001, psycho, elephant man, sin city, old boy, twelve monkeys, and the exorcist are all some of my favorite movies 1) Rear Window 2) American Beauty 3) Some Like It Hot 4) The Prestige 5) Harvey 6) Pulp Fiction 7) Dr Strangelove 8) Goodfellas 9) This is Spinal Tap 10) The King of Comedy
