Can i transfer songs to the latest iPod Nano but the songs aren't from iTunes?

Can i transfer songs to the latest iPod Nano but the songs aren't from iTunes? Means that i bought the song from other websites not from iTunes, will i still be able to transfer to the latest iPod Nano? I dont really know what gen is the latest iPod Nano so i put 'LATEST' Sorry for my bad English. 10 points for the best!

2. iTunes is the software... you mean that you bought songs for other websites not from itunes store . well there is no problem you just import those songs in itunes player and then to your ipod
