How do I remove sites I am not likely to revisit from the list under the search at the top of the home page?

I click the back space key on the list of sites recently visited at the top left of the home page, but this is cluttered with sites I have only visited once and am unlikely to return to. How can I delete these?

1. go to tools and click delete browsing history , that delets everything or go to favorites and click on history and delete just the ones that you want to delete,,, good luck@!
2. go into tools at the top and click delete browsing history ,,easy as that !!
3. Tools Internet Options Clear History. You might also want to delete cookies and delete files from time to time.
4. Go to Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, delete temporary files, then delete each of temporary internet files, cookies, history, form data, password in that order. You should do this frequently.
