do i need to cite wikipedia if i just use some of the sources it lists and not the actual article?
Hi, I'm in a debate tournament and in order to find out some more information about the International Criminal Court I went on to wikipedia. I know that itself wikipedia isn't a credible source but some really good sources and info from the article at the bottom of the page where they cite THEIR sources. Should I mention that I used wikipedia to find the sources I bring up in my argument or is this unnecessary? just trying to be honest........Thanks!

- If you're culling the original sources for material, then list them in full.
- No more so than you'd cite "card catalog" or "Guide to Periodical Literature" or "Index of Citations" in the library.
- If you referred to wikipedia, don't cite it. If you used references within the wikipedia page itself and the information is legitimate, then cite that. Otherwise any teacher I know would hate to see a wiki citation on assignments! Good luck
