A specific question relating to submitting the same content to article sites?

Does having the same article [as in the same text content] in a lot of different directories incur any penalties such as being whacked for spamming etc? Also do article sites demand exclusivity? If so, is there a list of article sites that are actually worth my time?, so far I have noticed ezinearticles appears to be the authority, but in looking about on Google for conclusive comparisons on sites I am overwhelmed by choice. Is there a recommended 'top 10?'

  1. It is best to change the wording because if people see the same article posted on different sites they might think 'spam'. And you dont want them turning away, you want them to read, so their possible thoughts matter. If it were me I'd reword spam or not anyway.
  2. It is better to submit different versions of your article to the different directory. Some directories DO require a unique content so you mist read their site rules. Try using SubmitYourArticle.com and use their article leverage sys to create different versions and submit your articles to thousands directories. Try these: ezinearticles.com articlesfactory.com articlealley.com articledashboard.com ideamarketers.com goarticles.com blogskinny.com articlemarketer.com The last one has a free submission service.
  3. Article marketing is still the most effective way to increase the visibility of your website. Even if you publish an identical article on thousands of sites it will not effect your website rankings. Exclusivity simply means you are the only author, so as long as you use the same author name on all your directory accounts they will all be accepted. One thing I would say is never use the articles on your website as your site will be seen as duplicate content and pushed onto Google's supplementary index. The main thing to remember is that Article Marketing is in no way spam.
