Has there ever been a newly released book that has NOT been on the New York's Times bestsellers list?

Does that even mean anything anymore? Almost every new release claims to be on this list. Maybe the people of New York will read any new book that comes along?

1. Ha, or if an author wrote 5 books and one made the New York Times Best Seller List, all of his/her future books will say in large print "New York Times Best Seller...." and in small print "best selling author," not the book, the author was best selling.
