How do so many intellectually lite right-wing authors make it to the New York Times best seller list?

The books get terrible critical reviews, are filled with hateful rhetoric and, lets face it, fans of Hannity, Coulter, Laura Ingraham, O'Reilly Dick Morris, etc. are more likely to watch NASCAR than read a book. How do they sell so many? Do a few rich people buy them in bulk and then dump them?

11. Not at all. Actually most "best sellers" are usually just marked that way either by national or it could be for the bookstore itself. Some "best sellers" are really best sellers of a particular store. Regardless, the authors pay the big bucks, have their friends and supporters buy them, or sometimes there are professors or schools that require students to buy them. You also can't forget that there are just a good handful of jerk offs who just enjoy hateful rhetoric and are perhaps spiteful towards man kind.
