What do you do about test drives when selling your car on Craig's List? ?

I am a single woman and am selling my car on Craig's List. What do you do about someone taking a test drive? I don't want to just hop in the car with anyone and go with them--but at the same time I don't want to just hand over my keys whether they give me collateral or not! How do I handle? Thanks. My mom suggested taking their car keys for their car while they test drive mine. Don't have male friends/relatives readily available in my area.

1. Get a brother, cousin or neighbor to ride with them.
2. You're absolutely right. Make sure you have someone capable with you at all times, no exceptions. I wouldn't even meet them at my house if I were you. Starbucks or 7-11 or something.
3. A woman selling her car and then getting in for a test drive with a total stranger is kind of risky. I would ask a male co-worker, brother, neighbor, if they would be available to go on a test drive with a potential buyer. Be sure to verify they person buying has a valid drivers license before handing over your keys; no license = no insurance.
