On Craig's List, how long does it take for someone to reply back to you?

I e-mailed someone who Craig's List because I was interested in something he/she was selling but that was about 3 days ago and I did not get a reply back yet. Does this mean that the person may have sold this item already? The ad was a little old, it was from the beginning of May.

1. I have had replies to postings in less than 1 hour
2. most likely the item has been sold or they don't check their email much...try to see if they left a number on the post to call if not i guess u can try emailing them again
3. Some sellers don't reply and some do. There are also people who list things and don't remove the ad when the item sells. If you have not heard from them within a week you can pretty well figure the item is gone.
4. It just depends on the seller. I would assume they are not interested in selling it, or it's been sold. However, it took a seller 2 weeks to get back with me. By then, my interest in her item was gone. Sellers should delete their listing if they sell the item out of courtesy and to avoid confusion.
5. Sometimes people get so many replies to their offer that they just don't bother to reply to all of the people who wrote to them after they have sold the item.
