Can i sue a site which is using my mail id as a test Id?
Hi, Recently i have been getting multiple mails from a site where i had registered - with messages like "Test Message", "Testing Mailing List". Apparently they are testing their mailer program. This though casts a serious doubt on their data security guidelines. They are in effect using real data for testing. And this site even collects credit card information for certain transactions. Can some action be taken against this site?

- its in there contract so where and u didnt read the contract so they got u can't sue
- stop whining it just happened they probably have no idea
- Report them, and block all e-mails from them. That's all you can do....spam is way too out of control for any legal action to be taken, we would ALL be in court everyday, so the best thing is to just filter their junk out, and report them to the BBB, but that won't do much.
- I am sure that on your States Government web site there is a place for complaints. It is against the law for them to use your credit card for any kind of information. You can also report them to the BBB
- Firstly, you should contact the site administrator and ask about this. Ask them if they would kindly stop and what not. If they continue doing what they're doing, you should sue, because firstly, they are using your email without your permission in a way that could be harmful to you, and secondly, they ignored your request to stop. Good luck.
