How did Bush and republicans trickle down on the american people..can you list the ways?
the top ten ways bush and republicans trickled down on the american people are: for example...if corporation X gets huge tax cuts and loopholes, and the top execs get huge tax cuts also and the corp and the execs made googobs of extra money as a result, and then proceeding to keep that going for years living large...(while the budget deficit grew), and then they ran X corporation into the ground...making bad business decisions (that also ruined a good chunk of americans..requiring more aid to the poor), and then the execs of corporation X went to the american treasury and asked for a 70 billion dollar bailout and proceeded to give bonuses to the executives and paid dividende to stockholders (including the executives), and then ........later on say that they can't make any money unless the Bush tax cuts are renewed...so that they can keep even more of their salaries...(As the bridges crumble...and the deficit grows),......anyway...I digress. Just list how many ways you think that Bush and republicans have gotten the american people coming and going?

- That's the biggest flaw in the Republican model. In order for it to work, the rich at the top have to be generous and pay fair wages to their workers. If that happens, then everything works out perfectly. However, business owners tend to be greedy and keep the money to themselves rather than paying the people that work for them.
- Sounds like you've got a pretty good handle on it. Of course, there's the flim-flam with the environment. Refusing to admit that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas/polluter, rescinding laws and executive directives protecting endangered species, selling the most fragile wilderness areas for coal and oil development, not to mention coal mining methods that leave the land irreparably damaged... And all of this in the end costing incalculable $$ as the environment becomes inhospitable and food becomes scarce... Who wants to handle the part about unnecessary war?
- 1 major problem with this country is we are pitted against each other. A Flat tax would fix that problem. Trickle down economics works, if a company is making tons of money than it needs more employees. The employees can spend more money on more products. As long as everyone is making money than everything is good. But than came NAFTA, that Bill Clinton signed so lets blame Bill right. Wrong George H. Bush was all for it to. Than somewhere in the Mid 90's Bill got in bed with the Chinese so now everything is made in China, again Bills fault. Nope Nixon started the U.S. China deal. We are all way to guilty of wanting what the Jone's have. We all want 2 new cars a house and every state of the art TV, Phone, Computer and every other toy out there. and now the bills are due. Always remember its always easy to blame the guy who is office today for the mess the previous guy left him. Most of the banking crisis from both the Clinton and Reagan ideas of doing business, but it is all coming to a head now. The deficit is from this retarded war in Iraq, that was suppose to be linked to 9-11. The real War of 9-11 in Afghanistan should never be abandoned.
- I do believe the Democrat congress passes tax laws, and the "bail out". Does this fact ever register with you? Obama is going to better, I think not!
- The thinking is that taxes discourage the rich from spending, and in reality it does, and they go to long lengths to get around them. When someone spends money, the receiver of the money gets taxed, and the person who get it also gets taxed, and so forth. It just keeps going. Every dollar in the US gets taxed several times over, bit by bit, person by person. The US government takes in as many dollars as are printed, and the economy is several times larger than the actual number of bills ever produced. So the idea is that if you dont tax them on income, they will release large amounts of money which itself will be taxed. In practice, it has worked wonders. Income from taxes has always been higher when the rich are taxed less. That is a fact. Even though historically tax rates have been higher under democrats, they income through taxes has been less. So now you see why Obama is unlikely to repeal the tax cuts for the rich. It is the equivalent of increasing the rates on everyone below them.
- I would post how I think they trickled down on the American People, but I imagine it would be against YA rules/regs. LOL...
- What I see is that before the Democrats took control of Congress we had a stable economy, steady growth, low unemployment and inflation. The libs took over in 2006 and since then we had our gas and food prices double, a housing and credit crisis. And what cracks me up is that Democrats have the gaul to blame the president for the problems.
