- The key is don't take the degree from an on-line school. Take it on-line from a real bricks-and-mortar university with a good Distance Education component to its programs. Many large universities, including state colleges, have these.
- The best degree is the one that gets you a job. So if you want to go into buisnesswhere appearances and prestige are important, an online degree may hold you back. For education they could care less where the degree comes from as long as you can get the certification to teach. CanProf is correct do a distance program from a real school
- It is difficult for anyone to say (especially somebody on Yahoo answers who knows nothing about you) what the best place to get an online degree from is - as there are a large number of criteria that need to be considered. What might be the best college for you might not be the best fit for me. What is important is that you take some time to contact a number of schools that offer online bachelors degrees so you can ask them questions about their specific programs. I would be sure to ask them about tuition costs, schedule requirements, professor interaction, reputation with potential employers, job placement assistance and financial aid. I would also make sure that any college you consider is regionally accredited so you can be sure that any degree you earn will be accepted by potential employers and other academic institutions. Too often people choose to enroll in the first program they find instead of taking the small amount of time to do a little bit more research. An extra hour now can save you a ton of time, money and frustration down the road by enrolling in the wrong program. This site has some good information on regionally accredited online degrees in both business and education (and a wide array of other disciplines) and some colleges to help begin/expand your search: http://www.ecollegefinder.org I think you can fill out your information on there and the colleges will send you more info on their programs for free. Good luck!
