  1. Degrees in Business are in high demand right now and will be for years to come, and they usually pay quite well; however, I have heard that journalists make good money too. Honestly, I do not know which would pay better, but my own personal opinion is to choose the field that you would be most happy with because that will be your career for the next 40 years!
  2. Both of those fields are so broad that you could potentially earn more money in either. Pay varies by region and demand, but in general I hear that journalists aren't particularly well-paid (that's not to say they live in poverty - just relative to other careers that involve college degrees). With business, it really depends on what your work ends up being. There's a lot of money to be had in business, but your experience/location/connections/career track/and of course quality of work will all affect your job opportunities and salary. I imagine there's more flexibility with business (you can switch between jobs and types of work more easily), which could be to your advantage in seeing out a higher-paying position. My advice would be to do what you love! Go for your dream job! If it's what you really love, you'll enjoy your educational experience more, get more fulfillment from your work, and whatever difference in salary will be insignificant once you're in the work force and see how few people get the chance to do what they love. Consider double-majoring (double degrees make people more marketable - and that's especially good in a field as big as business AND you could switch between the two careers), or choosing journalism as your major and business as your minor. If business is an interest of yours, you could use it as a focus for your writing. Just a thought. :) Good luck!
