!!!!!!!!!!!!Having problems with computer won't let me play a certain game online PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i want to play a certain game all it shows is a small box on the top left corner. Inside the box it has a red square below it it shows a green circle & below it it shows a blue triangle. it say i have to install shockwave but when I go to the web site it shows the same thing a box with the same shapes. Pease tell me wats wrong with it. P.S I bought it at a garage sale so that why it dosen't have all the thing installed as a new computer would have.
