Why do we love Top 10 Lists?

Top ten lists are all over our daytime as well as late night TV shows. They cover our magazines and they are heard on talk radio. Why are we so into countdowns . . .or count ups (depending on how they want to go with it)? Is there something magically special about the number 10 that we just are drawn to? Why ten and not 4 or 12? Share your thoughts . . . .

6. its not to short and not to long... enough to give us something to think about but not enough to fully satisfy so we want more. we think it will change our lives. make it glossy like the magazine we read the top 10's from! also-top ten- is an alliteration so it catches our attention!
