Do you like books featured on Oprah's book club?

I have read a few books that she picked for her club and I have to say I was quite disappointed, save for one. Now, when I see it's on her list, I don't even read it anymore.

11. do not give her much thought - if I choose to read, am capable of finding topics that appeal to me

13. I love A Million Little Pieces. I love books with all that detail. It just gets me right into the moment. But..speaking of books. She isn't in oprah's book club but, Janet Evanovich is amazing. She has great books that you won't be able to put down.
14. I dont know about her book clubs but I have watched her show a few times and, personally, I dont care for her and cant imagine she would choose any books that I would like.

17. I don't even like Oprah, why would I read a book that was on her list. I know there are people who absolutely love her and thats fine, I'm not judging anybody. I just think she is over-rated.
18. like everything else in our lives you just wont like everything. i would say the majority of the books on oprah's book list are very good but not all of them interest me. like yourself, i pick and choose what interest me and thats what i read. sometimes i will pick one that is totally not in the realm of things that interest me and im surprised that i like it. so the choice is yours of course, just dont want you to be to closed minded and give up. :)
19. Most of her books were chick lit. I applauded her for having a new book every month. It gave a lot of authors exposure they needed and it got people reading more. But after the way she felt insulted, she's cut back drastically. She needs to have the courage to stand up to criticism and have a new book every month.
20. I have read 2 at the most, she and I obviously don't have the same taste in books and I'm a ferocious reader..
