Does this letter sound good? (Criticize please! :))?
Out of all the franchise's I researched (A&W, Reid's Dairy, Dairy Queen) I think it would be best to invest in A&W. I think this is the best way to go for many reasons. The number one reason is that I think in the next year or so A&W will start to make more money. I believe this, as right now the economy is going down hill, and because of this more and more people are eating out at fast food places as they are cheap. I also would like to invest in this franchise because it is Canadian owned, which means a lot to me as I am from Canada. I don't think it would be right to invest in a American franchise, as since I am Canadian I would like to support one of our own franchises. Right now A&W is Canada's second largest hamburger chain, and has over 680 restaurants and is currently thriving. In the past six years it has even been recongnized as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies, which is a national awards program sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post, and Queen's School of Business. The A&W franchise is said to have one of the industry’s most experienced senior and regional management teams. Investing in A&W is also one of the cheapest franchises's (out of the ones I looked at anyway) to invest in, costing $50,000 for a 20 year term. On top of that you get 5-6% of royalties, which is the highest amount of royalties out of all three franchises I looked at. Personally I think t that A&W is the best choice for me to invest in, and the franchise that I would feel most comfortable supporting. I know someone who invests in root beer floats, and their franchise will only use A&W root beer. So if all else fails, at least you get the discount on root beer!

- Here is what I would write: I researched these franchises: A&W, Reid's Dairy, and Dairy Queen. Out of these 3, I decided it would be beneficial to invest in A&W.These are a few listed reasons I would make this choice. The first reason would be that within the next year A&W will be more financially stable. Right now the economy is going down hill resulting in more and more people eating at cheap fast food restaurants. The more people utilize these franchises, the more finances they bring in. The second reason would be based on the fact that I am Canadian, and this particular restaurant is Canadian-owned. I personally don't think it would be beneficial to invest in an American franchise, denying the ability of a Canadian one. Right now, A&W is Canada's second largest hamburger chain, has 680 facilities, and is a thriving business. It has also been recognized in the last 6 years as one of Canadas 50 Best Managed Companies (a national awards ceremony sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post, and Queen's School of Business.). The A&W franchise is said to have one of the industry's most experienced senior (and regional) management teams. They must go through extensive training to achieve this recognition. Out of the three I looked into, A&W is one of the cheapest franchises to invest in. It costs $50,000 for a 20 year term, plus you get 5-6% of royalties, which is the highest amount of royalties among those I researched. My personal opinion is that A&W is the best choice for me to invest in and I would be comfortable with my decision. I support my decision based on my research, my loyalty to my nation, and others' opinions. I know a company that invests in Root Beer floats, they will only use A&W Root Beer. So, if all else fails, at least you get the discount on the Root Beer!
