Have you ever had a job where your boss did not make more money than you? Obama likes this buisness plan?

It seems that it's a pretty simple business model, the people who run the business make the most money, and then people under them are delegated jobs and levels of pay accordingly. Why does Obama think the people at the top need to pay disproportionately more, therefore destroying this model, ruining businesses and further hurting the economy?

  6. His model doesn't Bankrupt the top 5%, you have to realize hes not taking all of their wealth and making everyone have equal pay. That is NOT how it works. They just will not recieve the tax cut and they will have a slightly higher tax. Which is crap yes, but your looking at it the wrong way. For the REcord I dont agree with it either I think it is wrong.
  7. Yes, when I was a salesman. In that job, which was straight commission and no salary, the best sales people did not look for promotions because it meant lower pay. I made close to a 100k in my best year and my boss made in the low 60's.
  8. You don't get it do you. President Obama is limiting exec pay for companies receiving TAXPAYER $$$, not other companies. Why cant people like you tell the straight story?

  10. My husband makes more money than his "boss". He's in the Investment Industry. His boss is Admin and my husband manages hundreds of millions of dollars. I can't STAND Obama and I don't think he knows what he's doing though.
  11. Do some research on CEO pay from 1950 to present. Then look at the average pay of non-CEO pay during that same period. If you do not see a HUGE SIGNIFICANT difference in these numbers, then I cannot answer your question.

  16. Well, have you seen what these people have been paying themselves recently? That's why the economy has been destroyed. I hate to tell you, but you cannot have a properly functioning economy if a small percentage of people are hoarding money by paying themselves an exorbitant amount. That means there will be less consumption in the market. That means there will be less sales for business. Which is why Republicans will figure this out soon. If you don't yet, I understand, but your beliefs will die hard. People need to have money to buy things from you. It's common sense. You can't give people that have $15 million another $5 million. It doesn't create jobs! They save it, or blow it on crap!
  17. Yes. It was a government job. I had way more seniority, education and licenses then he yet he was promoted one grade above me. To your point, CEO pay has to be reigned in. It constitute stealing. They ( through bogus compensations boards) set their own pay and benefit package. Much like congress. For an individual to get 100 million dollars for 3 weeks work is grand theft! I as a stock holder (supposed owner of the corp) would never approve such nonsense! Would you?
