What is the top business rank in the Sims 2 Open for Business?

My Sims life time aspiration is to own and run 5 successful top ranking businesses. So far one of my businesses is at rank 6 so I just want to know how many more ranks I have to go to get to the top? Also who is the reporter? How can I notice the reporter?

the top is rank 10 and reporters usually are taking notes. well, not exactly reporters, business critics I guess. so the 'critics' will come and survey your business which give you chance to win the best of the best award or something like that... the best business (which quickly grow and gain ranks) is gym in my opinion... hope this helps.
Top rank is 10. The reporter is someone who appears to be a customer but he is holding a notebook and writes everything about your business while checking out the place... I hope I helped you a bit...ciao!
Level 10 is the top rank. The business critic can be spotted writing notes while at your business. Make sure that the business is fully stocked and cleaned before opening in case the critic turns up. The rank is 10, the reporter will have a clipboard, If you're doing well in his eyes his customer loyalty will be going up while he does his inspection If not then I delete him with the move_objects on cheat. I notice him because he is ALWAYS giving me bad reviews.
