On yahoo home page how do you delete the list of old searches that comes up when you goto type in a new search

when I go to search somthing on my yahoo home page a list of old searches comes up. How do you delete them?

1. Tools -> Clear Private Data (Firefocks)
2. Go to control panel, internet options, delete cookies, delete files, clear history. This will also make your computer run slightly faster because there won't be thousands of unused files just sitting there.
